Hungarian Neighborhood Heats up for Spacecom with Eight Contracts for AMOS Satellites In 2006

Tel Aviv – 8 February 2007: Spacecom (Tel Aviv Stock Exchange: SCC), the AMOS satellites operator, today announced that it secured eight contracts in Hungary with new channels during the past twelve months, further fortifying its solid business position in Hungary. AMOS satellites’ hot-spot located at 4°West longitude proved especially attractive for TV channels requiring content distribution to cable head-ends for a growing number of Hungarian clients during the period including: Telemedia Hungary, Sanoma Central Europe, IKO and Vital TV.

Hungary’s growing digital communications marketplace, developed economy and investment milieu all create a rich synergy for AMOS satellites’ services. The addition of these channels crystallizes AMOS’ neighborhood footprint in Hungary and increases the satellites’ connections with these networks whose channels run the gamut from general to news to entertainment media broadcasting.

Spacecom signed new agreements with Sanoma Central Europe for its Story TV channel, IKO for three new channels, Telemedia for 3 new channels and with Vital TV.

According to Ori Onn, Spacecom COO, “Hungary and AMOS are an excellent match, as our clients and their customers know. We are continuing to concentrate on enhancing this neighborhood and providing superior service.  Our partnerships with local partners such as – HBO CE, Antenna Hungaria and Telespazio Hungary – are strong and continue to support our business growth.”

David Pollack, Spacecom President and CEO, commented, “Spacecom’s 2006 growth in Hungary reaffirms the success of our business model. Whether renewing leases or adding new channels, our capabilities to constantly fulfill the needs of each client reinforces the AMOS brand in Hungary.”
